Full Internet services only on Jan 4
PETALING JAYA: There’s more bad news for Telekom Malaysia Bhd (TM) Internet customers. Full services can now be expected only on Jan 4.
TM said in a statement yesterday that repair works hit a technical hitch on the South-East Asia-Middle East-Western Europe 4 (SMW4) submarine cable network between Palermo in southern Italy and Alexandria in northern Egypt.
Internet customers may continue to experience slow browsing in accessing websites hosted in Europe, while those using other Internet Protocol services such as Virtual Private Network and other critical business applications linked to Europe may experience service degradation.
